The Neighbours

The neighbours nearest to the renovations of this diamond in the rough have been nothing short of heroic. From the same block, around the corner, and from behind, the neighbours have been extremely supportive of this restoration project.

These are friendships that have made this journey possible, from lending their fridge and freezer to store groceries, to hosting a milestone birthday party at their home while this house was covered in tarps, to delivering hot meals and cold drinks from one season to the next. These amazing people endured tremendous noise and disruption from loud power tools and voices, to large machinery and constant traffic from trades and delivery trucks.

This must be the best block in the world because strangers became neighbours and neighbours became great friends.

The next homeowners can be assured of having the loveliest neighbours in Moncton.

The Neighbourhood

Downtown Moncton offers a variety of great activities, providing both permanent and seasonal opportunities to explore and have fun on foot with a walking score of 8/10.

Beautifully manicured Victoria Park, just across the road, has an excellent free summer concert series on Tuesday evenings. Each artist is from a different genre, so there is something for everyone. Busy in the garden? You can enjoy the sounds of music from your backyard. In the winter, Victoria Park features a public ice skating rink, providing everyone with the opportunity to create lasting memories.

Just a 7-minute walk away at St. George and Bonaccord, gourmet market Dolma, has the finest meats, cheeses, produce, New Brunswick ice cream, divine pastries, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and so much more to tempt you. On the second floor and roof top patio is a new Spanish-inspired restaurant owned by the next-door neighbour, Brix. Brix Experience has a lot to offer as well; a cozy café, gourmet cooking lessons, cocktail lessons, amazing private events, and 'kids' summer camps for budding young chefs.

Just a couple of blocks down on Bonaccord is Moncton's most popular bread bakery, CoPain. CoPain has incredible croissants, muffins, seasonal specialties, and, of course, the finest breads. Stop for a coffee and croissant or take them to go.

If you're looking for a full-service breakfast or brunch spot, the best is a little place just a block away from the bottom of Victoria Park on St. George. The Why Not Be You Brunch Café is owned by Kim, who offers an excellent selection of fresh meals and smoothies to satisfy every craving.

Feel like taking a flight? Tire Shack is just a block away from the top of Victoria Park. It's a microbrewery with a new event venue. Enjoy a selection of their craft beers, grab a growler to go, or throw a party to remember.
